That being said, I still give in to buying small items whenever I see good deals online. And the fact that a good friend of S was returning from the States to Singapore with spare shipment space made Amazon look even more tempting than ever. Hence, here are my first buy and honest reviews.

Why I bought it:
My fiance and I do not own a lot of accessories but we are huge fan of watches and I foresee having quite a couple more added to our collection after our finances are more stable. (We have been saving up for our wedding and our house renovation/furnishing.)
My current watches are being laid flat on a boxes and are often found stacked up against one another. I think some of the scratches found might be due to abrasion between each other ):
How do I find it:
Well, it is cheaper than buying from retail stores here and even online like Qoo10 /Groupon. I haven't started using it, but it is a must to check and inspect all items purchased online as soon as possible. Amazon has a really good return policy
, so you might get a refund or a return if your goods are defective upon arrival.The item arrived covered with a thin layer of dust (probably kept in storage for sometime) and had a weird smell, so I was quite turned off by it. However, the glass was intact and the product works well! The cushions are also removable to cater for bigger size watches or I can use it to keep my necklaces etc too. Good storage for a messy lady like me.
For the price I am paying, this is quite worth it since I was not expecting it to be of good quality.

Anyway, based on reviews by other Singaporeans, they love it for its versatility to hang all sorts of diameter poles. In addition, the Howard @ MW sells this for above S$40. So there is a huge savings if you ship this with other items with a total cost of US$125 (Free shipping to SG).

Why I bought it:
Okay, I confess. It was just too cute for me to resist.
I mean I actually paid US$4 bucks more for this bottlecap design when I could have gotten the exact same product in a different design. Yes, I was being superficial.
Of course, there are other practical reasons to get this!

I chanced upon other designs of Joseph Joseph Glass Top Saver in Takashimaya, Singapore and they were selling for about $45 or $55 or more (sorry, i cant recall!).

Why I bought it:
I am not planning to install an undersink filtration system, and a 7-cup portable pitcher seems to be a better fit for my household of two.

How do I find it:
A pleasant surprise from Amazon - i received the PUR 7 Cup Oval Pitcher w/ LED Indicator & 1 Filter which costs US$19.99 instead! (: Please refrain from rolling your eyes, cheap thrills are a joy in my mundane life.
The only difference between the one I placed order for and the pitcher i received is the included indicator which serves as a reminder to change filters. I did not see a need to get the indicator since there were reviews that it was not accurate and I can just change it if I feel the significant difference in speed of filtering over time.
Some comments i grabbed from reviews online were that the water tastes slightly sweet, the filter is slow and the lid does not come off easily. But this does not bother me.
Overall, the filters are inexpensive, especially when compared to those selling in Singapore.We do not wish to commit ourselves into expensive undersink filtration system yet, hence this is a very affordable way to test out if we can taste the difference in our tap water versus filtered water.

Why I bought it:
This is my 2nd time purchasing this product and I use it to moisturize my hair after shower. It absorbs really fast and does not have the oily greasy look that other hair oil may give. The dripper also allows better control of the amount and avoids wastage. It may be a small bottle but it goes a long way. I usually use this right after Shiseido Professional The Hair Care Adenovital Scalp Essence which I have reviewed in this post. The best thing about it is that I can apply this at night and still go to bed at ease, no fears that it will cause any breakouts on my face. Tried and tested!

All in all, I am really loving Amazon for the fuss free shopping. I do purchase from Qoo10 and Taobao, but Amazon's return policy is unbeatable and give me much more ease in comparison. If you notice that the prices I bought at may differ from existing price you see on Amazon now, this is because they fluctuate everyday like the stock market. I use the wishlist to pin down what I am eyeing and you can choose to be notified when the price goes down. The tip to get a kick-ass deal is to search for international brands on Amazon like OXO and SimpleHuman that are imported into Singapore and sold at marked up prices.
