I started using Shiseido's Professional Adenovital Scalp Essence at the start of the year and it has already been 4 months of daily usage right after I washed my hair at night.
This product was recommended by my hair salon Actpoint and the hair stylist told me that their boss also uses this product. She has been having baby hair growing out and the results were delightful!
The active ingredient works directly onto hair for growth mechanism, penetrates into the hair roots to promote the lush growth of your beautiful hair. It promotes hair growth, help prevent thinning, dandruff, itchiness and hair loss.
I did a Google on this product and apparently since its launch in Japan, this product has won awards in various forms of media and following magazines:
- marisol Best Cosmetics Award
1st Prize in Hair Care Category in the first half of 2011
- GLOW Cosmetics Awards – G1 Grand Prix
1st Prize in Hair Care Category in 2011
- SPUR Best Cosmetics Awards in 2011
Ranked in “My Most Favourite Beauty Item” List
- FIGARO Japon Best Cosmetics Awards in 2011
Ranked in Hair & Scalp Care Category
- WWD BEAUTY JAPAN Best Item Awards of Professional Hair Care & Styling
Awarded 1st prize in Scalp/Hair Growth Care Category in 2011
I use this after I blow-dry your hair to prevent water from diluting the tonic or prevent it from penetrating my scalp. My hairstylist also reminded me that the heat from the hairdryer will also open up the pores for better absorption. After blow drying to approximately 70% dry, I part my hair to show the scalp and drip it directly on the scalp via the nozzle. Using my
fingertips, i massage my entire scalp for about a minute.
So I have been repeating the procedure for about 4 months now, and sad to say, i don't see any difference in my hair growth. It might have prevented further hair loss, but i have yet to see any new baby hair. However, this product might just not be right for me. It seems that many people raved over this products online and I am the only one not seeing much progress.
Do try this out though, it costs SGD108 at selected hair salons in Singapore and it might still work for you.

I also purchase shampoos from US via Amazon because the savings is about 40-50%). Read about my review on Paul Mitchell Shampoos as one of my Amazon purchases here and Lanza shampoo and treatment.

Hi.. I was researching on Shiseido treatment products and chanced upon your blog. How often do you use it? how many times per week is recommended?
ReplyDeleteIt is comforting to know that I'm not the only under 30 yo facing such hair loss problem.:) currently using Phyto 4 and going for PHS science treatment. If you may wish to consider.
hello! you are definitely not alone in this! my sis is also under 30yo and facing the same issue. It is recommended to use it every day after washing your hair. In fact, my hair stylist recommended me to use once in the morning and once at night (after showering).
DeleteI have used Phyto serum but does not seem to be working. ): Also went for Phyto science treatment, but the specialist recommended me to go for 48 treatments (or is it 24, i cant remember) to cure it, which is an exoribitant price to fork out without knowing if it will work haha. Is it working for you? (: Do share your results!
I'm happy about because I don't get too excited by hair products the way I do with makeup and skincare, and it's nice to know I have things in stock and don't need to go out replacing stuff any time soon.
